NBC’s Olympics got a slight ratings and viewership uptick on Monday, while the network competition originals surrounding it mostly tied series lows.
Fox’s lineup of “Almost Human” and “The Following” tied lows, as did ABC’s “The Bachelor” and Castle.” For The CW, new series “Star-Crossed” had a soft debut, with a 0.4 rating in the key demo.
NBC was first in ratings with a 5.6 rating/15 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and first in viewers with an average of 23.5 million, according to preliminary numbers. The Sochi Games was the only telecast on NBC’s primetime schedule.

ABC was second in ratings with a 2.0/5 and in viewers with 7.7 million. At 8 p.m., “The Bachelor” got a 2.2/6 and 7.6 million viewers. “Castle” at 10 dropped 19 percent to a 1.7/4, along with 7.8 million viewers.
Fox was third in ratings with a 1.7/4 and fourth in viewers with 5.2 million. “Almost Human” at 8 had a 1.6/5 and 5.3 million viewers. “The Following” at 9 got a 1.7/4 and 5.1 million viewers.
Univision was fourth in ratings with a 1.3/4 and fifth in viewers with 3.3 million.

CBS was fifth in ratings with a 1.2/3 and third in total viewers with 5.3 million. Following reruns, “Intelligence” at 10 received a 1.2/3 and 5.7 million viewers.
Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.6/1 and 1.4 million viewers.
The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.4/1 and in total viewers with 1 million. The premiere of “Star-Crossed” at 8 got a 0.4/1 and 1.2 million viewers. “Beauty & the Beast” at 9 had a 0.3/1 and 766,000 viewers.
