Fox’s two summer reality shows “Beat Shazam” and “Love Connection” held mostly steady in the ratings against NBC’s Game 5 of the Stanley Cup finals on Thursday night.

The network finished third place in the key 18-49 demographic, with ABC’s all-rerun lineup bringing it to a second-place finish by that metric. Among total viewers, ABC finished in first place with 5.4 million, according to Nielsen measurements.

At 8 p.m., “Beat Shazam” averaged a 1.0 rating/5 share among adults 18-49 and 2.9 million viewers, down slightly from a 1.1/5 and 3.4 million viewers last week. At 9 p.m., Andy Cohen’s “Love Connection” was steady with a 0.8/3 and 2.6 million viewers. Fox finished third in ratings among the broadcast networks overall with a 0.9/4, and fourth in total viewers with 2.7 million.

NBC’s all-night airing of the Stanley Cup Finals clash between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Nashville Predators averaged 1.4/6 and 4.3 million viewers, though that number will liked adjust up later today due to the nature of live sports. As the numbers stand currently, the network won the night in ratings but finished in third in total viewers.

As stated above, ABC finished second in ratings with a 1.2/5 and won the night in total viewers with 5.4 million. CBS, which also only aired repeats, finished fourth in ratings with a 0.7/3 and second in total viewers with 4.4 million. The CW, which also aired only repeats, finished last with a 0.2/1 and 860,000 total viewers.
