The premiere of Renée Zellweger’s “The Thing About Pam” couldn’t hold a flame to fantasy suites on “The Bachelor” and the “FBI” trilogy in terms of ratings or viewers Tuesday night in primetime.
ABC and CBS battled it out for highest-rated show of the evening, but Bachelor Clayton Echard and his final three ladies came out on top with a 0.8 rating.
The “FBI” franchise did take the cake in terms of total viewers, allowing CBS to boast the three most-watched shows of the night. The original “FBI” secured the most viewers overall, drawing in 7.7 million pairs of eyeballs.
ABC and CBS tied for first in ratings with a 0.6 rating in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic, but CBS was first in total viewers by a landslide with 6.4 million, according to official numbers.
On CBS, “FBI” earned a 0.7 rating and 7.7 million total viewers at 8 p.m. At 9, “FBI: International” received a 0.5 rating and 5.9 million total viewers. “FBI: Most Wanted” had a 0.5 and 5.6 million total viewers at 10.
ABC was second in total viewers with 3 million. “The Bachelor” scored a 0.8 rating and 3.5 million total viewers at 8 p.m. At 10, “To Tell the Truth” had a 0.3 rating and 1.9 million total viewers.
NBC was third in ratings with a 0.5 and in total viewers with 2.9 million. “American Auto” had a 0.3 rating and 2 million total viewers at 8 p.m. At 8:30, “Grand Crew” got a 0.3 rating and 1.4 million total viewers. “This Is Us” secured a 0.7 rating and 4.2 million total viewers at 9, and “The Thing About Pam” premiere got a 0.4 rating and 2.9 million total viewers at 10.
Fox was fourth in ratings with a 0.4 and in total viewers with 2.3 million. “The Resident” drew a 0.5 rating and 3.1 million total viewers at 8 p.m. At 9, “I Can See You Voice” got a 0.3 rating and 1.9 million total viewers.
The CW was fifth in ratings with a 0.1 and in total viewers with 601,000. “Superman & Lois” had a 0.1 rating and 773,000 total viewers at 8 p.m. At 9, “Naomi” brought in a 0.1 rating and 429,000 total viewers.
Among the Spanish-language networks, Univision was first in ratings with a 0.6 and in total viewers with 1.8 million. “Soltero con hijas” earned a 0.5 rating and 1.6 million total viewers at 8 p.m. At 9, “Mi fortuna es amarte” had a 0.6 rating and 1.9 million total viewers. At 10, “Madre” received a 0.5 rating and 1.8 million total viewers.
Telemundo was second in ratings with a 0.3 and in total viewers with 1.1 million. “Exatlón,” which began at 7 p.m., had a 0.3 rating and 1.1 million total viewers. “Hercai: Amor y venganza” got a 0.3 rating and 1.3 million viewers at 9. At 10, “Pasión de Gavilanes” received a 0.2 rating and 713,000 total viewers.
