Ratings: ‘The Voice’ Drops to New Low

“Mindy Project,” “New Girl” tick up in season finales

NBC’s “The Voice” dropped 11 percent on Tuesday to a new series low, as Fox’s “Mindy Project” and “New Girl” season finales got ratings bumps.

CBS won the night, despite “Person of Interest” matching a ratings low.

CBS was first in ratings with a 2.1 rating/6 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and first in viewers with an average of 13.4 million, according to preliminary numbers. “NCIS” at 8 p.m. earned a 2.3/8 and 15.7 million viewers — the most of the night. “NCIS: Los Angeles” at 9 received a 2.2/6 and 14 million viewers. “Person of Interest” at 10 had a 1.7/5 and 10.4 million viewers.

NBC was second in ratings with a 1.9/6 and in viewers with 7.7 million. “The Voice” at 8 got a 2.4/8 — the highest rating of the night, but a new series low — and 10.4 million viewers. “About A Boy” at 9 received a 1.5/5 and 6.4 million viewers. “Growing Up Fisher” at 9:30 had a 1.2/4 and 5.2 million viewers. “Chicago Fire” at 10 earned a 1.9/6 and 7 million viewers.

ABC was third in ratings with a 1.3/6 and in viewers with 3.7 million. “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” received a 1.8/6 and 5.1 million viewers. “The Goldbergs” at 9 dropped 24 percent to a 1.3/4 and 4.1 million viewers. “Trophy Wife” at 9:30 fell 30 percent to a 0.7/2 and 2.4 million viewers. “Celebrity Wife Swap” at 10 had a 0.9/3 and 2.8 million viewers.

Univision was fourth in ratings with a 1.2/4 and in viewers with 2.8 million.

Fox was fifth in ratings with a 1.0/3 and in total viewers with 2.3 million. “Glee” at 8 had a 0.8/3 and 2.2 million viewers. The “New Girl” finale at 9 had a 1.2/4 — a nine percent uptick — and 2.4 million viewers. The “Mindy Project” finale at 9:30 had an 18 percent boost, getting a 1.3/4 and 2.4 million viewers.

The CW was sixth in ratings with a 0.7/2 and in total viewers with 1.6 million. “The Originals” at 8 had a 0.6/2 — a 25 percent drop — and 1.5 million viewers. “Supernatural” at 9 fell 20 percent to a 0.8/2 and 1.8 million viewers.

Telemundo was seventh in ratings with a 0.4/1 and in total viewers with 1.2 million.
