‘Revenge’ Finds Margaux’s Father: ‘Unfaithful’s’ Olivier Martinez

The casting news arrives on the heels of news the ABC drama is promoting Karine Vanasse to series regular

Margaux is clearly becoming a major player on ABC’s “Revenge.”

On the heels of the news that Karine Vanasse, who plays Margaux, will be promoted to a series regular for the show’s fourth season, “Revenge” has cast Olivier Martinez in the recurring role of her father, Pascal LeMarchal, a show representative told TheWrap.

If you’ll remember, Margaux arrived to New York to start an American magazine and to get away from her overbearing dad.

Spoiler alert: He’s described as a media magnate who’s competitive and with Conrad (Henry Czerny) and has a complicated history with Victoria (Madeleine Stowe).

Martinez is best known here in the U.S. for starring in “Unfaithful” opposite Diane Lane in 2002. In his native France, Martinez starred in 1993’s “Un, deux, trois, soleil,” which earned him the César Award for “Most Promising Actor.” His other film credits include “S.W.A.T.,” “Before Night Falls,” “The Horseman on the Roof,” and “The Chambermaid on the Titanic.”

He married actress Halle Berry last July.

Resolution and A6 Cinema (Spain) represent Martinez.
