A day after Chris Brown's meltdown backstage at "Good Morning America," his interviewer, Robin Roberts, said she was surprised by his reaction and invited him back.
"We'd love to have him back," she said in a segment Wednesday.
ABC sure would — if the forgiving tone of Wedneday's "Good Morning America" was any indication.

In the report on Brown's eruption, ABC's Andrea Canning said he stormed backstage following a performance and an interview with Roberts in which she asked him about Rihanna's restraining order against him.
Canning, making diplomatic use of the passive tense, said that "at one point a cooler was thrown and this window was broken in his dressing room."
She noted that he then left the studio shirtless and tweeted, "I'm so over people bringing this past s— up!!! Yet we praise Charlie [S]heen and other celebs for there [sic] bulls—." He later deleted the tweet.
Roberts said she didn't realize during the interview (above) that Brown — who pleaded guilty to assaulting Rihanna in 2009 — was upset by her line of questioning. She noted that she has interviewed him before and that they've always had an "easy relationship."
"Anytime we have a guest here on the program… we let them know ahead of time the subject matter, the topics that we're going to discuss," she said. "And even right before the interview I said that to Chris. And I was shocked, like everybody else, because we've had a wonderful relationship."
