It will remain business as usual for Roger Ailes following the 21st Century Fox reorganization — albeit with a different boss (or two).

The Fox News president will report directly to new Fox heads James and Lachlan Murdoch beginning next month, contradicting previous reports that he would still report to Rupert Murdoch.

The 21st Century Fox shakeup has officially been slated for July 1, when James will take over for father Rupert as CEO. James’ brother Lachlan Murdoch will join dad Rupert as executive co-chairmen, which was reported last week. Meanwhile, longtime Chief Operating Officer Chase Carey will take on the executive vice president title, a post he will hold through June 30, 2016.

As a result of the shakeup, the company’s corporate functions and its global television and film operations will now jointly report to James and Lachlan Murdoch — this includes Ailes’ Fox News.

Fox News itself first reported that boss Ailes would still run info up the corporate ladder to Rupert Murdoch, which may have been the assumption at the time, but that has clearly not held up.
