Ron Perlman Launches Independent Production Company

Wing and a Prayer Pictures will produce up to three indie pictures per year

Actor Ron Perlman is starting his own production company and film fund called Wing and a Prayer Pictures, it was announced Thursday.

The “Hellboy” and “Sons of Anarchy” star’s company will finance and produce up to three independent pictures per year, focusing on dramas and elevated genre films with budgets between $3 million and $10 million.

Josh and Randy Crook will serve as Perlman’s partners in the endeavor, and Jay Cohen of Gersh and Brian Wilkins and Erik Kritzer of Link Entertainment will come on board in management positions. Wilkins and Kritzer will serve as co-Heads of Production and Cohen will be an advisory partner, helping source material, package projects and negotiate deals.

Perlman first move will be to attend the upcoming Cannes Film Festival and meet with distributors and content creators as he actively looks for material.

Perlman will star and serve as Executive Producer for the upcoming drama “Hand of God,” which was given the greenlight from Amazon in April. Perlman will play a married man on the verge of a mental breakdown who embarks on a vigilante mission to hunt down a rapist.

The details for Wing and a Prayer’s first project will be announced shortly.
