Ratings: ‘Critics’ Choice TV Awards’ Low

ABC’s “Rookie Blue” has lowest premiere yet

Fox cooked up a Thursday ratings win with a strong “MasterChef.”

ABC’s Season 5 “Rookie Blue” debut was a premiere low. For the CW, the “Critics’ Choice TV Awards” had a soft 0.3 and 1 million viewers.

Fox was first in ratings with a 1.3 rating/5 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and third in viewers with an average of 3.8 million, according to preliminary numbers. At 8 p.m., “MasterChef” earned a night high 1.8/7 and had 4.9 million viewers. At 9, “Gang Related” got a 0.9/3 and 2.6 million viewers.

CBS, NBC and Univision tied for second in ratings, each with a 1.1/4. CBS was first in viewers with 5.2 million, airing entirely reruns; NBC was fourth with 3.3 million; and Univision was fifth with 2.7 million.

For NBC, following a repeat, “Undateable” at 9 had a 0.9/3 and 2.6 million viewers. A second half-hour of the Chris D’Elia comedy got a 0.9/3 and 2.5 million viewers. “Last Comic Standing” at 10 received a 1.4/5 and 4 million viewers.

ABC was fifth in ratings with a 0.9/3 but second in total viewers with 5.1 million. “Black Box” got a 0.7/3 and 4 million viewers in its 8 p.m. time period premiere. “Rookie Blue” at 9 debuted to a 1.0/3 and 5.7 million viewers.

Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.7/2 and in total viewers with 1.7 million.

The CW was seventh in ratings and viewers. The “Critics’ Choice TV Awards” was the only show on the schedule. This was the first time the awards show has appeared on broadcast TV.
