Roseanne Barr has stepped up to back fellow Donald Trump supporter Kanye West in his criticism of Barack Obama.

The actress took to Twitter on Thursday to echo West’s disappointment in the progress the city of Chicago made under the Obama administration and Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

“@kanyewest is telling the truth about Rahm’s Chicago,” Barr wrote. “[People] do not want to hear the truth — that Chicago could be a better city for its citizens, but the establishment is corrupted.”

Barr’s tweet comes a week after West first tweeted, “Obama was in office for eight years and nothing in Chicago changed.”

“Let’s do something about #Chicago — all of us… instead of hurling insults and division,” Barr wrote in a separate tweet. “Let’s try efficient government and unity JUST THIS ONCE!”

Like Barr, West has received criticism from fans over his vocal support for the current president, which has included him saying that he has “love” for Trump and a tweet praising his “dragon energy.”

West also courted controversy with a recent TMZ interview in which he said 400 years of slavery was a “choice” on the part of the enslaved because they had been “mentally imprisoned.”
