Rupert Grint Cast in M Night Shyamalan Thriller Series at Apple

“Harry Potter” alum joins Lauren Ambrose and Nell Tiger Free in untitled project

Rupert Grint has joined the cast of the untitled thriller series from M. Night Shyamalan at Apple.

The “Harry Potter” alum will appear on the series as the younger brother of “Six Feet Under” star Lauren Ambrose, who was cast in August alongside “Game of Thrones” alum Nell Tiger Free.

The majority of the show’s plot and character details are being kept under wraps, but Apple has shared that Ambrose’s character will be a mother named Dorothy, and Free will play Leanne, a nanny.

Created by Tony Basgallop, who will write and executive produce,” the psychological thriller will also be executive produced by Shyamalan. He is also set to direct the first episode.

Blinding Edge Pictures will produce the series, with Ashwin Rajan also executive producing, as well as the Escape Artists team of Jason Blumenthal, Todd Black, Steve Tisch and co-executive producer Taylor Latham.

Grint most recently appeared in the BBC miniseries adaptation of Agatha Christie’s “The ABC Murders.” He also stars in the Sony Crackle drama “Snatch” about a group of up-and-coming hustlers who stumble upon into the high-stakes world of organized crime.
