Samantha Bee and “Full Frontal” donated a six-bedroom house to a nonprofit that works with detained immigrants on Wednesday as part of the TBS show’s “Christmas on I.C.E.” holiday special.
The segment, a parody of HGTV’s “Love It or List It,” saw Bee and her team renovate a six-bedroom house in Lumpkin, Georgia for El Refugio, a group which provides housing and visitation for a family of immigrants detained at a detention center nearby.
“We weren’t able to fix our Kafka-esque immigration system, but hopefully we did make one little tiny part of it slightly more bearable,” Bee says in the clip.

The 19-bed house will also provide lodging for volunteer lawyers and interpreters from the Southern Poverty Law Center’s Southeast Immigrant Freedom Initiative, which provides free legal representation to immigrants held at Stewart and four other detention centers in Georgia and Louisiana.
