Joan Rivers‘ famous friends and E! colleagues are rallying behind the comedy legend who is reportedly on life support after she stopped breathing during throat surgery on Thursday morning.
Over the weekend, a host of familiar names expressed their love and sent well-wishes to the 81-year-old E! “Fashion Police” host.

“We have a gig in 2 weeks and I’m not doing it without you YOU’RE BEING RIDICULOUS,”
Rivers’ “Fashion Police” co-host Kelly Osbourne expressed her love for the ailing star, tweeting, “4 the first time in years I got down on my knees & prayed tonight! I encourage U 2 do the same 4 @Joan_Rivers my grandma! #inconsolable.”

While Cher took issue with those who have criticized the way Joan’s daughter Melissa Rivers is handling of the situation. “Shame on Those Who Say ‘Melissa Refuses 2 believe a World Might Exist Without Her mom #JoanRivers in it’. She LOVES Her Mom,We All Do,” Cher tweeted Sunday.
On Friday night, Melissa released a statement saying her mother appreciates all of the prayers. “My mother would be so touched by the tributes and prayers that we have received from around the world.” Melissa said in the statement to E! News. “Her condition remains serious but she is receiving the best treatment and care possible. We ask that you continue to keep her in your thoughts as we pray for her recovery.”
According to multiple media reports, the comedienne is on life support and Melissa is facing the agonizing decision of how to proceed.
Calls to Rivers reps for an update on here condition were not immediately returned to TheWrap.
