‘Scream Queens’ Casts Patrick Schwarzenegger

Horror-comedy series premieres Sept. 22 on Fox

Patrick Schwarzenegger is joining the cast of “Scream Queens.”

Executive producer Ryan Murphy announced the news on Twitter on Friday, though there are no details on the actor’s role in the show, which stars Emma Roberts, Jamie Lee Curtis, Keke Palmer, Abigail Breslin, Skyler Samuels, Ariana Grande and Nick Jonas.

Schwarzenegger, the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, appeared in 2013’s “Grown Ups 2” and will co-star in this fall’s “Scout’s Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse” and next year’s “Dear Eleanor” with Isabelle Fuhrman.

The show is a campy look at a college campus that is being plagued by a serial killer on the 20th anniversary of a sorority prank that went awry.

From 20th Century Fox Television and Ryan Murphy Television, Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Ian Brennan and Ian Brennan will serve as executive producers.

“Scream Queens” will debut on Fox on Sept. 22 at 8 p.m.
