The Outsiders” author S. E. Hinton loves TheWrap’s photoshoot with the “Silicon Valley” cast, which bore the theme of the famous book and the subsequent 1983 film.

When TheWrap’s Tim Molloy asked, “What do you think, ? More Greaser or Socs?” the author responded, “They look pretty damn tuff to me!”

In another tweet, Hinton responded to a fan who brought the feature to her attention. She responded, “Love it! Love the show, too!”

During TheWrap’s interview with Thomas Middleditch, Kumail Nanjiani, Zach Woods and Martin Starr, which was titled, “Outsiders No Longer,” the cast talked about getting through scenes without cracking up, demanding a blooper reel for their show, and which character underwent the biggest change in the HBO series.

“Silicon Valley” has now been renewed for a fifth season, although T.J. Miller, who stars in the upcoming “The Emoji Movie” and has a comedy special airing on HBO, has opted not to return.

Francis Ford Coppola’s adaption of Hinton’s 1967 novel is famous for giving many of Hollywood’s biggest stars their first break. The coming-of-age drama about rival gangs — the greasers and the socs — starred C. Thomas Howell, Rob Lowe, Emilio Estevez, Matt Dillon, Tom Cruise, Patrick Swayze, Ralph Macchio and Diane Lane.

“Silicon Valley” has been nominated for 18 Emmys, eight Critics Choice Awards and two Golden Globes. The Season 4 finale will air this Sunday.
