Hopper Penn, son of Sean Penn and Robin Wright, was arrested on Wednesday after being pulled over by Nebraska police.

Penn and his girlfriend, Uma von Wittkamp, were stopped by Nebraska State Patrol on Interstate 80 in Hamilton County, according to officials. Troopers found 14 grams of marijuana, four amphetamine pills and 3 grams of mushrooms.

Both were charged with drug possession and were taken to Hamilton County Jail. They were released on bond on Thursday.

Penn has previously discussed his struggles with drug addiction, telling ES Magazine in an interview last year that he “got caught a lot doing stuff,” including crystal meth.

“I went to rehab because I woke up in a hospital and my dad was like, ‘Rehab? Or bus bench?’ I was like, ‘I’ll take the bed,’ ” he said. “Thank God I got out of that because that was the worst time in my life.”

A rep for Hopper Penn did not immediately respond to a request for comment Thursday.
