Hulu has ordered a half-hour comedy pilot from Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, TheWrap has confirmed.
The pilot, “Future Man” follows a world-ranked gamer who is told by time travelers from the future that he is the key to defeating the imminent super-race invasion.
Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Kyle Hunter, Ariel Schaffir and Matt Tolmach serve as executive producers on the pilot. Rogen and Goldberg will also direct. The script is written by Schaffir and Hunter.
Hunter and Schaffir previously worked with Rogen and Goldberg as executive producers on the controversial movie “The Interview” as well as the apocalypse comedy “This Is the End.”
The project comes to Hulu from Sony Pictures Television, Seth Rogen’s Point Grey Pictures and Matt Tolmach Productions.
