‘Sheen’s Korner’ Not Actually Very Entertaining

Sheen draws more than 100K viewers to Ustream show

Well played, HBO.

Soon after the network flatly turned down a report that it was vying to air a show called "Sheen's Corner," Charlie Sheen gave the show away Saturday night on a Ustream show called "Sheen's Korner."

Though the show had upwards of 100,000 viewers at points, it wasn't all that watchable. Highlights included Sheen debuting a new "winning" tattoo. The Hollywood Reporter said its format was "closely akin to a local access cable show."

Sheen called it a "disorganized, random experiment of sorts" in the show's intro.

Radar reported Feb. 25 that Sheen was in negotiations to receive up to $5 million an episode for "Sheen's Corner" — a report HBO almost immediately denied by saying no such show was in the works.

Sheen later said he was approached by someone he believed to be from HBO, but said the person was possibly misrepresenting himself.

"Saturday Night Live," meanwhile, imagined its own, more entertaining version of Sheen's show, and got all the week's human punchlines out of the way in its opening sketch.

"Duh! Winning! With Charlie Sheen" featured the "SNL" cast playing bandleader Christina Aguilera, who was detained this week for public intoxication, as well as guests John Galliano, fired by Dior after alleged anti-Semitic comments, and embattled Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.

The final guest? Lindsay Lohan, played by "SNL" host Miley Cyrus. She later played Justin Bieber on the the recurring "SNL" skit "The Miley Cyrus Show."
