A new trailer for Tim Burton’s latest zany pairing with star/muse Johnny Depp, "Alice in Wonderland," hit the web Wednesday. Based on the less than two minutes of footage, audiences can look forward to some dazzling images and another lunatic addition to Depp’s c.v.
Perhaps more troubling is the revelation that this isn’t an adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s children’s classic, but a sequel of sorts. In this go-round an older Alice returns to Wonderland to intercede in a battle between the Red and White queens. Disney tried a similar approach in 1985’s "Return to Oz," and that didn’t work out so well the last time.
