Just ahead of Turkey Day, a number of notable film and TV stars are getting behind St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s annual “Thanks and Giving” campaign: Jennifer Aniston, Jon Hamm, Sofia Vergara, Michael Strahan to name a few.
Celebrating 11 years, the “Thanks and Giving” campaign asks top brands and retail companies to encourage holiday shoppers to donate to St. Jude’s treatment and research programs in the fight against pediatric cancer and other catastrophic children’s diseases.
The bold-name supporters help raise awareness each year by appearing in national TV spots, and a 60-second movie trailer that began showing in theaters this month.
“I am so inspired with their amazing courage and perseverance,” Aniston said of survivors like Sam and Waylon, who appear with the “Horrible Bosses 2” actress in one spot.
‘This holiday season you can join the fight against childhood cancer and help St. Jude continue its research to find cures and save the lives of children across America,” she added.
“Mad Men” star Hamm makes his campaign debut, and “Modern Family” actress Vergara also stars in a solo ad spot that TheWrap can share exclusively.
In addition to retail donations, the St. Jude gift shop got some high profile merchandise like a holiday ornament designed by “American Idol” judge Keith Urban and an iPhone case autographed by Disney star Olivia Holt.
