Sorry, L.A.: Nude ‘Project Runway’ Posters Only Going Up in New York (Photo)

The posters were denied by Lifetime's outdoor space vendor in Los Angeles

Fans of both "Project Runway" and nudity in L.A. were dealt a blow Tuesday, when it was decided that the show's nude Season 12 art would not go up around the city.

The posters are, however, going up Wednesday in New York City, a Lifetime spokesman told TheWrap. As this is being written, hundreds of copies of the poster are being posted in phone kiosks and outdoor newsstands in Manhattan.

A person with knowledge of the situation told TheWrap that the vendor who operates the outdoor space in Los Angeles refused to post the ad, though the person did not know why.

The poster and potential billboard features a fully clothed Victorian-era Heidi Klum seated atop a throne, alongside a black-tied Tim Gunn. In the artwork, fully naked onlookers of both sexes are worshiping at the feet of the two fashion personalities and television hosts.

"Project Runway" returns to Lifetime on July 18.
