Stephen Colbert Penalizes Michael Sam for ‘Holding,’ ‘Unnecessary Tenderness’ (Video)

Colbert and Donald Trump agree Sam and his boyfriend went much too far

Stephen Colbert blew the whistle Monday on Michael Sam for kissing his boyfriend after getting the news that he had been drafted to the NFL.

“Holding! Unnecessary tenderness,” said Colbert. “Folks, this is just wrong. In the NFL, sexuality is supposed to take place off-camera. And the fans should only find out about it when the charges are filed.”

Colbert said on Monday’s “Colbert Report” that Sam is waging “war on traditional gridiron values.”

“Don’t get me wrong. I’m a tolerant guy. I don’t care who you love, as long as you can launch your body at another man’s skull like a missile made of pure hate.”

Good-taste barometer Donald Trump has opined that Sam and his boyfriend were “really going at it” in their brief moment of celebration. Colbert agreed.

“That is some hard-core, close-lipped brief and affectionate pecking,” he said.
