Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss has joined the cast of “Magic Mike XXL.”
The dancer and actor best known for the “Step Up” franchise announced his involvement in the film on Wednesday’s episode of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
“I met with Channing Tatum, and he asked me to join the cast of ‘Magic Mike 2,'” Boss told DeGeneres during his appearance (above).
Boss suggested he’d be playing a stripper, because he said he’s “not nervous” about “wearing less.”
“There’s this other element. I have to get waxed,” Boss said. “I’m really nervous about that.”
“Oh, it’s going to hurt,” DeGeneres joked.
Boss is the most recent addition to a star-studded cast that already includes newcomers Donald Glover, Elizabeth Banks, Michael Strahan, Jada Pinkett Smith and Amber Heard, while producer Tatum — whose stripping career inspired director Steven Soderbergh‘s 2012 comedy — will return as the eponymous male stripper.
This time, Soderbergh’s producing partner Greg Jacobs will sit in the director’s chair, while Matthew McConaughey will sit out because of scheduling conflicts.
