STX Adds Quartet of New Marketing Executives

Terry Curtin, Keri Moore, Amy Elkins and Andrew Runyon will report to President of Theatrical Marketing Jack Pan

STX Entertainment has added four executives to head up its marketing division in the run up to its first theatrical release, Joel Edgerton‘s “The Gift,” the company announced Tuesday.

The new team includes veteran marketing experts Terry Curtin, Keri Moore, Amy Elkins and Andrew Runyon. The four will report to President of Marketing Jack Pan.

“We have a very unique structure at STX Entertainment that creates a collaborative and crucial dialogue both inside the marketing department, and between production and marketing,” Motion Picture Group President Oren Aviv said in a statement. “Identifying a film’s marketing strengths and opportunities as part of the greenlighting process allows us to begin strategizing the marketing campaign from the moment we say ‘yes’ to a project.

“Jack Pan and these new additions to his team were selected based on their deep experience, combined with their ability to jump into the process at the earliest stage to create an innovative campaign vision from step one,” Aviv said.

Curtin, who most recently served as president of Theatrical Marketing at Relativity, will head up Strategic Marketing and Global Communications for the company, while Warner Bros and Universal alum Moore will oversee Creative Advertising and Brand Development.

Elkins, who hails from being a managing partner of media planning agency Mindshare, will run Media and Marketing Innovation and Runyon, most recently vice president of International Digital Marketing at Paramount, will be in charge of Worldwide Digital Marketing & Technology.

Edgerton’s directorial “The Gift” will be released on July 31.
