Sundance Video: Director David Wain on Amy Poehler, Paul Rudd Chemistry in ‘They Came Together’

“It’s a deliberately terrible romantic comedy,” Wain tells TheWrap at our new video lounge

Comedy director David Wain has brought to Sundance his new comedy starring Amy Poehler and Paul Rudd, “They Came Together,” and TheWrap invited him to their brand new video lounge at the festival.

“It’s a deliberately terrible romantic comedy,” Wain tells TheWrap’s Jeff Sneider. The director of 2001 cult classic “Wet Hot American Summer” reunited Rudd and Poehler along with Ed Helms for the love story of Joel, a corporate executive for a candy store chain and Molly, the owner of a sweet shop.

The movie will premiere on Friday, toward the end of the festival. Lionsgate will release the film this summer.
