Syfy Orders ‘Dominion’ to Series

Christopher Egan is set to star in the drama based on the 2010 supernatural movie “Legion”

Syfy has given a series order to “Dominion,” its adaptation of the 2010 supernatural movie, “Legion,” a network representative told TheWrap.

To film in Cape Town, Africa, the series will premiere in 2014.

Executive produced by the film’s director, Scott Stewart, “Dominion” takes place 25 years in the future after a war between humans and angels changes the world. It focuses on an unruly young soldier who finds out he is the world’s savior.

Stewart will write and direct the pilot and reunites with “Legion” producers Michael Litvak and David Lancaster, who will serve as executive producers.

Paul Bettany, Lucas Black, Tyrese Gibson, Adrianne Palicki, Kate Walsh and Dennis Quaid starred in “Legion,” which grossed $40 million in North America.
