‘Teen Wolf’ Midseason Return Scares Up Series High Ratings

Season 3B opener scores with viewers on social media, as well

“Teen Wolf’s” darker Season 3 return on Monday earned the MTV thriller’s highest viewership ever.

A record 2.43 million total viewers tuned into the 10 p.m. airing for a series high and Season 3 is on its way to being the show’s most-watched season to date.

For the network’s younger skewing demographic of 12-34 year olds, “Teen Wolf” earned a 2.3 rating, which matches show’s previous high at the beginning of Season 3.

The series scored well among teen viewers, as well, earning a 4.3 rating with the demo and an even larger 6.3 with teen females – both record highs for the series.

Additionally, Nielsen’s SocialGuide reports that “Teen Wolf” was the most social entertainment program on Monday night with 1.2 million tweets. That represents a 25 percent increase over the previous series high.

This half of the season will be darker than others. On Monday’s Season 3B premiere, Scott (Tyler Posey), Allison (Crystal Reed) and Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) are experiencing delusions as a side affect of a temporary death they underwent to save their parents on the midseason finale.
