‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ Heads to Asia

Talk show will begin airing on Lifetime Asia on Oct. 20

Fear not, Asia, you’ll soon be able to enjoy Ellen DeGeneres‘ talk show antics just like we do in the United States.

“The Ellen DeGeneres Show” will now air across Asia on the same day that it airs in the U.S. after the syndicated talk show launches on Lifetime Asia weekdays at 8 p.m., starting Oct. 20.

With the new agreement the talk show, currently in its 12th season, will now air in Brunei, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Macau, Malaysia, Myanmar, Papua New Guinea, Singapore, Thailand and the Philippines.

“We are hugely excited to bring ‘Ellen’ to Lifetime in Asia and we strongly believe we add value by broadcasting the show in less than 24 hours from the U.S. premiere,” A+E Networks Asia senior vice president, programming & marketing Michele Schofield said. “‘Ellen’ is such a topical show; we’re excited to give our viewers the same opportunities to share in the water cooler conversation.”

“The Ellen DeGeneres Show” is produced by A Very Good Production and WAD Productions, Inc. in association with Telepictures Productions and is distributed internationally by Warner Bros. International Television Distribution.
