‘The View’s’ Raven-Symone Blames Media for Donald Trump Madness: ‘We Are the Flame’ (Video)

“We have to stop talking about him in order for him to go away,” the co-host says Monday

Raven-Symoné and the other hosts of “The View” agreed on Monday on the best way to push Donald Trump from the headlines and the top of newscasts: to stop giving him attention.

“We are the flame. We have to stop talking about him in order for him to go away,” Raven-Symoné said before continuing to talk about Trump.

The actress-host went on to say that the number of people who continue to support Trump despite his comments regarding Mexican immigrants demonstrates that racism still exists in America. “That’s a shame,” she said.

Departing panelist Rosie Perez called on other candidates to denounce Trump for his comments about immigrants.

“I don’t understand why every single politician, whether they are Republican or not, is not completely outraged by his statements,” Perez said, after a recent clip of the real estate mogul and TV personality floating the idea of charging Mexico $100,000 for each immigrant who illegally crosses the border.

“This is a pure prejudiced rant that he’s been going on for several days,” she said.”Weeks, in fact. And there’s only been a handful that have stepped up.”

Nicole Wallace disagreed, noting that many candidates have spoken out against Trump, but they don’t get as much media attention for it.

Just as Wallace began to point out that the panelists weren’t giving any attention to Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker announcing his candidacy, her co-hosts interrupted in order to resume their discussion of Trump.

“People should tell him to shut up,” Perez said.
