The panelists of “The View” discussed the “19 Kids and Counting” molestation scandal Monday, with co-host Nicolle Wallace saying, “We hold up and celebrate these people who don’t protect their kids.”
Wallace also cautioned the Duggar parents about their upcoming interview with Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly. “They’re fools if they think she’s going to go light on them,” Wallace said.
When guest co-host Raven-Symoné suggested that there was sexual suppression in the Duggar household, Wallace chimed in, “Not by the parents — they have a kid every year.”
“And you have that in front of your children, telling them ‘You’re not allowed to do certain things,” Symone replied.
“
“So this is a very serious issue, and I think that both he and his siblings are both victims,” co-host Rosie Perez said. “Because when a child molests another child, studies have shown that they do it because, most of the time, not all of the time, it’s learned behavior and they are acting out.”
“Let us say right now we are not saying — we are not accusing the parents,” co-host Whoppi Goldberg clarified. “Rosie is simply saying that it is learned behavior. Nine times out of 10, it is learned behavior, so hold onto those e-mails and all that.”
