“This Is Us” fans shouldn’t stop stockpiling boxes of tissues anytime soon.
Dan Fogelman, who created the NBC drama series, told TheWrap that viewers should brace themselves for plenty of tough moments in Season 2, given the looming mystery of Jack’s (Milo Ventimiglia) death.
“It’s very heavy,” Fogelman said about the new season. “Our big challenge is also keeping it fun. Obviously, there’s a potential death at the center of the season, which naturally makes things sad.”
He continued: “I think part of the thing people are talking about [with] the emotion of the show, it’s not always sad emotion. It’s an uplifting emotion — it’s a cry that makes you smile.
