Thomas Sadoski to Star Opposite Edie Falco in CBS’s ‘Tommy’ After Recasting

“Life in Pieces” star steps in for David Fierro, who played the role in the drama pilot

“Life in Pieces” alum Thomas Sadoski has joined the cast of the CBS legal drama “Tommy” in a recasting, TheWrap has learned.

The midseason drama stars Edie Falco as a former high-ranking NYPD officer who becomes the first female Chief of Police for Los Angeles. Sadoski will co-star in the series as Buddy Boyardi, the show’s Los Angeles mayor. He replaces David Fierro, who played the character in the pilot.

In addition to Falco and Sadoski, the cast includes, Michael Chernus, Adelaide Clemens, Russell G. Jones, Olivia Lucy Phillip and Joseph Lyle Taylor.

Paul Attanasio, Darryl Frank, Justin Falvey and Kate Dennis (pilot only) are executive producers for CBS Television Studios. Kate Dennis directed the pilot from a script by Attanasio.

On television, Sadoski most recently starred on the family sitcom “Life in Pieces” at CBS for four seasons as part of an ensemble cast which also included Colin Hanks, Zoe Lister-Jones, Angelique Cabral, James Brolin and Dianne Wiest. He also held a series regular role on HBO’s “The Newsroom.”
