Just ahead of Friday’s season finale of “Something Borrowed, Something New,” TLC has renewed the series for a third season, TheWrap has learned.
The cable channel has ordered 18 new episodes of the show that asks brides to choose between a borrowed and reworked wedding dress or a brand-new gown. The series begins production on Season 3 this month and is set to premiere in November.

Produced by Trium entertainment, “Something Borrowed, Something New” is part of TLC’s branded “BrideDay” programming on Fridays, which focus on their wedding and bride-centered programming. This season currently averages 1.1. million viewers and ranks No. 1 in its time slot with TLC’s key demographic Women 25-54, as well as Women 18-49.
On Friday’s Season 2 finale, Alexis is marrying a pro-baseball player and wants to turn heads at their beachfront wedding. But, her mom thinks she has just the gown — her own. And, dad thinks Alexis will be happier in something new.
