TLC’s ‘Long Lost Family’: Buckets of Tears Are Shed in Season 3 Trailer (Exclusive Video)

More families are reunited when series returns Sunday, April 8

“Long Lost Family” returns for a third season on Sunday, April 8 and judging by the new trailer, the new episodes will be as emotional as ever.

Hosted by Chris Jacobs and journalist Lisa Joyner, the TLC reality series reunites family members who have been separated their entire lives — from closed adoptions to long-held family secrets.

Among the stories featured on the upcoming season are a woman haunted by the memory of the sister she first met, and last saw, in a courtroom at the age of seven; a man, who at 48 years old, was traumatized to find out he was adopted, after his adoptive parents had already passed away; and a man who discovered that the mother who placed him for adoption already had three sons whom she kept.

Utilizing resources including public records and archives, tracing family trees and cutting-edge Ancestry DNA technology, Chris and Lisa will leave no stone unturned as they seek to create a new and profound familial relationship.

“Long Lost Family” returns Sunday, April 8 at 10/9c on TLC.
