Sure, Spider-Man swings from building to building in a New York minute — but even young Peter Parker must face down the sinister forces of the DMV.
In a promo short with carmaker Audi, Tom Holland of “Spider-Man: Homecoming” shows us how Parker manages to earn his driver’s license while fighting the scourge of the city.
“It’s very funny because it obviously resonates with me,” Holland said in a behind-the-scenes look at the short (below), as he “only recently took my drivers test.”
Befitting his do-gooder superhero, however, the British star ultimately doesn’t care about how he gets around. He just wants something safe for his grandmother.
“Piloted driving would be good for my poor granny,” Holland said of the Audi used in the spot. “If she was in a car that would make her feel safe? That would be really useful for her to have.”
“Spider-Man: Homecoming,” which garnered rave early reactions, opens nationwide on July 7.
