History Films, RADiUS-TWC and Participant Media, in association with Moxie Pictures, will team up for “The Unknown Known: The Life and Times of Donald Rumsfeld,” a feature documentary to be directed by Academy Award winner Errol Morris, the companies announced in Toronto on Monday.
The film will be released theatrically next year in North America by RADiUS-TWC.

Additional companies boarding the project include: Netflix (U.S.) and Hanway Films for international sales.

Drawing from hours of filmed interviews and previously unseen material from the former defense secretary's private archive, Morris examines Rumsfeld’s role in American history, ranging from the Watergate era to the Global War on Terror.
