Strand Releasing has acquired U.S. rights to Ulrich Seidl’s "Paradise" trilogy – "Paradise: Love," "Paradise: Faith" and "Paradise: Hope,” the company announced in Toronto on Sunday.
On Saturday, Seidl, an Austrian director, won the special jury prize at the Venice Film Festival for "Paradise: Faith."

The trilogy has unspooled at several festivals this year. "Paradise: Love" had its world premiere in competition at the Cannes Film Festival in May and its U.S. premiere last week in Telluride, before playing in Toronto.
The film takes place in Kenya and follows the cult of mature European women who travel to Kenya to find male companions.
"Paradise: Faith," which premiered in Venice, focuses on a single woman in her 50s who devotes her summer vacation to doing missionary work so that Austria may be brought back to the path of virtue.
