“Top Model” mentor Tyra Banks took on a new set of pupils Wednesday when she taught the ladies of “The View” how to take a perfect selfie.
“How do you take the best selfie?” Asked guest host Sunny Hostin. “I suck at the selfie!”
“You gotta do a turtle,” Banks replied, craning her neck. The other hosts of ABC’s popular daytime talk show awkwardly followed suit, except for Whoopi Goldberg who leaned back to watch the madness.
“Put the camera out far,” Banks continued. “Relax your lips, do the turtle, and hit [the button], hit it, hit it!” Jenny McCarthy, Sherri Shepherd, Hostin and S.E. Cupp — the episode’s other guest host — each applied her advice in front of their camera phones.
Banks — whose reality show “America’s Top Model” is winding up for its 21st season — taught the ladies other moves, too, including smirks, head rolls, and her patented “peeping tooch.” The model also offered predictions on what beauty will look like in 100 years from now (pills that can change your looks, more plastic surgery, the end of hair weaves) based on a story she penned last month for the Wall Street Journal.

T.I. visited “The View” Wednesday, too. He was quizzed about his music career, acting chops and legendary cooking skills in a segment unremarkable but for Shepherd musing about his pleasant smell.
