With “The View” working to revamp its panel, Lauren Sanchez has been tapped as a guest co-host on the ABC daytime talk show.

Sanchez, a former news personality at KCOP-TV in Los Angeles and the original host of “So You Think You Can Dance,” will guest co-host the show on Wednesday.

“So happy to be in #NYC .. excited to co-host The View @theviewtv this Wednesday,” Sanchez wrote on her Twitter account Monday.

The ABC talk show is currently in the throes of reinvention. Following Barbara Walters’ departure earlier this year, news broke that Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy would not be returning to the series, leaving Whoopi Goldberg as the only current panelist who’ll return next season.

The series recently decided to bring back Rosie O’Donnell, who had a previous controversial run on the show.

Sanchez joins other recent guest hosts such as Alicia Menendez of Fusion’s “AM Tonight,” Meghan McCain, WGN’s Ana Beleval and Sara Haines of ABC News.
