Veep” creator Armando Iannucci is zooming back to HBO.

The network has handed out an order for a pilot and additional back-up scripts to the futuristic comedy series “Avenue 5,” which will be set primarily in outer space.

Iannucci is the creator and executive producer for the project that is scheduled to film in London in 2018.

He created HBO’s Emmy-winning political comedy series, “Veep,” which he adapted from his British sitcom “The Thick of It.” “Veep” stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus and is heading into its seventh and final season.

Additionally, Iannucci directed and co-wrote the 2009 film “In the Loop,” for which he was Oscar-nominated for best screenplay. It, like “Veep,” was a political satire.
