Fans of “The Walking Dead” were in for a treat as the full cast spoke about the hit horror drama’s upcoming new season at New York Comic-Con on Saturday.
Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick Grimes, uttered a familiar phrase on the show when he said, on cue, “They’re fucking with the wrong people.”
Lincoln’s comment referencing the AMC show’s script, which elicited laughter from the crowd, was one of the takeaways as the cast discussed Terminus and what to expect this season.
Norman Reedus also dropped a bit of news when he was asked if there will be a third installment of “Boondock Saints.”
“We’re talking about a part three right now,” Reedus said, adding that the storyline has been pitched.
Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon, said “Walking Dead’s” authenticity extends to the cast.
“Everything feels really, really real,” he said. “Hope drives the show. We really feel connected to these characters … and to each other. We really care about each other.
“I never think of any good Daryl memories, to be honest,” he added, laughing.
What will we see out of Daryl in Season 5 of the zombie series?
“I would love to tell you where we’re at right now, but there’s a lot of different ingredients in this soup,” Reedus said.
Diehard supporters of the popular TV series asked cast members questions and shared their appreciation for the show.
One fan called Lincoln “an icon.”
“From Episode 1, you’ve thrown your heart and soul into this. And you’re an icon,” he said.
The actor returned the favor, thanking fans for their unwavering support on behalf of the cast.
“This has been the greatest job of my life,” Lincoln said. “We love this show, just as much as you love it. It’s the most important thing in my life — this job.”
“The Walking Dead” premieres Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
