Watch First Promo for ‘NBC Nightly News With Lester Holt’ (Video)

Lester Holt was named the permanent “Nightly News” host on Thursday, and NBC has just begun running promos for its new-look program.

The below 15-second clip was created after this week’s official announcement using video of Lester in the field, a person with knowledge of the program told TheWrap. The graphic with Holt’s name on the logo already existed because weekend editions of “Nightly News” held that title.

Beginning Monday, the broadcast will be titled “NBC Nightly News With Lester Holt.”

Holt had been keeping former anchor Brian Williams‘ seat warm since the latter host’s February suspension over telling an untrue story about an Iraq incident. Holt has filled in admirably from both journalistic performance and TV ratings standpoints.

Williams will remain under the NBC News umbrella, but has been demoted to MSNBC, where he will serve as a breaking news anchor.
