World Series: Rangers Fan Bounced for Throwing Ball on Field to Distract Outfielder (Video)

Man apparently tried to confuse Matt Holliday as he tried for catch

A Texas Rangers was ejected from Game 3 of the World Series on Saturday after throwing a ball near St. Louis Cardinals left fielder Matt Holliday as he tried to catch the actual game ball.

Holliday was waiting for a fly ball off the bat of the Rangers' Nelson Cruz when the fan leaned out from the stands and threw the ball near Holliday.

But Holliday didn't even seem to see it — and caught the right ball. The fan was later shown being ejected from the stadium.

In his defense, the Rangers did need the help: The Cardinals won 16-7 as Albert Pujols pounded three home runs to tie a World Series record.
