Eva Marie hasn’t been able to actually perform in a wrestling match for a while — storylines of heavy traffic and a recent wardrobe malfunction have served the running WWE gag — but now, in reality, it’ll be at least 30 days longer before she gets the chance.
Ms. “All Red Everything” — real name Natalie Coyle — has been suspended for 30 days by the WWE for her first violation of the company’s wellness policy.
The timing is bad for Vince McMahon‘s brand. Not even 24 hours ago, wrestlers Alberto Del Rio and Paige — a real-life couple whose actual names are Jose Rodriguez and Saraya-Jade Bevis — were both given the exact same punishment for a violation of the same policy.
Making matters worse, Marie was supposed to be a part of a six-woman tag-team match on Sunday at WWE’s pay-per-view event SummerSlam. That announcement was just made on Tuesday night.

No word yet on who Eva Marie’s replacement will be — if there even is one.
The most infamous of these summer suspensions was handed out to Roman Reigns — a.k.a. Joe Anoaʻi — in June. He lost the WWE Heavyweight Championship as further punishment for his indiscretion. This Sunday, he’ll compete at SummerSlam for the United States Championship, a much-lower title.
No further details were given in regards to exactly what any of these wrestlers actually did to warrant the suspension, however readers can gather more details about the comprehensive program here.
Here’s what else actually will happen at SummerSlam: In a confrontation more than 15 years in the making, the Viper clashes with the Beast when Randy Orton goes one-on-one with Brock Lesnar. Plus, Finn Bálor and Seth Rollins fight for the right to be called the first WWE Universal Champion; Dean Ambrose defends the WWE World Championship against Dolph Ziggler; Sasha Banks defends her WWE Women’s Championship against Charlotte; and John Cena faces AJ Styles.
