‘The X-Files,’ Ryan Murphy’s ‘9-1-1’ Set Premiere Dates at Fox

Wednesdays are about to offer some new TV options

Fox has set the premiere dates for “The X-Files” and Ryan Murphy‘s “9-1-1.”

“The X-Files” launches the second chapter of its event series on Wednesday, Jan. 3, at 8 p.m. “9-1-1,” a procedural focusing on emergency responders, follows at 9 p.m.

Fox has also released a new promo for “9-1-1,” which includes stars Angela Bassett, Connie Britton and Peter Krause. The spot can be seen above.

As for “X-Files,” Gillian Anderson (Scully) and David Duchovny (Mulder) reprise their roles in the new 10-episode run of the sci-fi series from creator Chris Carter.

The shows will take over the time slots for “Empire” and “Star,” which air their fall finales next month and return in March 2018.
