Zooey Deschanel Joins Fox Pilot Once Called ‘Chicks and Dicks’

Liz Meriwether comedy focuses on sexual politics of young ensemble

Zooey Deschanel will play the lead in Liz Meriwether's untitled Fox comedy pilot.

If the show makes it to air, the "500 Days of Summer" star would join her on the network, home to Emily Deschanel's "Bones."

The ensemble comedy, called "Chicks and Dicks" until someone said, "Um, no," looks at the sexual politics in a group of young people.

Meriwether ("No Strings Attached") is writing and executive producing the single-camera show for Chernin Entertainment and Twentieth Century Fox TV.

The show follows the misadventures of an optimistic, clumsy woman who moves in with three guys.
