Jonathan Sarrow has been named senior vice president of CBS’s Television Networks Distribution, a job that will involve negotiating carriage fees for CBS-owned properties with cable, satellite and telco companies.
“Jonathan brings a wealth of industry experience to this position, including valuable relationships with our distribution partners,” said Ray Hopkins, president of the department. “Carriage fees are an increasingly important part of CBS’s growth strategy, and as we maximize the value of our content, it’s important we have a veteran like Jonathan helping negotiate these deals. I look forward to working with him in this role.”
Sarrow served previously as vice president of distribution, National Accounts, for Fox Networks. He also worked as vice president of Business Affairs. Before that, he was director of International Distribution for New Line Cinema, where he handled international sales and administration of licensing for the company’s film library. Sarrow started his career at New World Television, working in both domestic and international TV syndication.
