“Trial of the Century” will be told from the point of view of a young Latina lawyer with a high-profile case
“Homeland” honcho Howard Gordon is reteaming with his former “24″ cohort Evan Katz for a new project, an individual with knowledge of the situation told TheWrap on Wednesday.
Gordon and Katz are working on a legal drama, “Trial of the Century,” which has been ordered by Fox with a penalty commitment.
The project will be told from the point of view of a young Latina attorney who’s wrapped up in a high-profile case. Katz is writing the project and executive produce, along with Gordon.
“Ringer” and “Golden Boy” alum Richard Shepard will direct if the project reaches the pilot stage, and will also executive produce. Bryan and Sean Furst are also among the executive producers.
“Trial of the Century” is being produced by Gordon’s Teakwood Lane and Shepard and the Fursts’ Ole production company in association with 20th Century Fox Television.
Gordon and Katz are also currently working on the event series “24: Live Another Day.”
