ABC Buys Comedy ‘Bagel Nation’ From Jerry Bruckheimer

The story of a Lebanese man who buys a Jewish deli — but isn’t Jewish

ABC has bought the script for Jerry Bruckheimer‘s half-hour single-camera comedy “Bagel Nation” about a Lebanese father who buys a Jewish deli, even though he’s not Jewish.

The show is inspired by writer Sheri Elwood’s real-life childhood. The family lives above and runs the deli.

Elwood also executive produces, along with Bruckheimer (pictured) and Jonathan Littman. KristieAnne Reed is a co-executive producer.
