‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Promo Teases Thor-Rocket Team-Up and More (Video)

“The Avengers will meet the Guardians of the Galaxy,” Marvel boss Kevin Feige promises

On the heels of confirming Spider-Man would be a part of “Avengers: Infinity War,” Marvel has released a new video with the first look at the biggest superhero team-up film yet.

Robert Downey Jr, who plays Iron Man, appears in the video on the first day of filming, alongside Tom Holland, who plays Spider-Man, and Chris Pratt, who plays Star-Lord.

It’s the first time we’ve seen all three guys on camera together, and it’s pretty exciting, though certainly not a surprise to fans who have been expecting to see literally everyone in the Marvel cinematic universe in this film.

In addition to glimpses from past “Avengers” films and talking-head interviews with Marvel boss Kevin Feige and directors Joe and Anthony Russo, the new featurette for “Infinity War” also reveals concept art that gives a glimpse of ideas that won’t come to fruition for over a year to come.

Included, a visual scale of just how big and monstrous Thanos (voiced by Josh Brolin) really is, as well as a couple of moments to geek out over, like Thor (Chris Hemsworth) teaming up with Rocket Raccoon (voiced by Bradley Cooper) and Tony Stark standing in front of a row of Iron Man suits.

Still missing: Any hint of a first glimpse of Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), though we expect to see her as well.

“Avengers: Infinity War” began filming on Jan. 23 and will be released on May 4, 2018.
